Nina Raskin

NINA RASKIN (nee Kanevskaya) on August 10, 2024. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Nina devoted her life to her family, as well as her accomplished career as an HVAC engineer. Born in June 11,1932, she attended university at Kharkov to become an engineer . In 1954, she married her beloved husband, Boris. In 1956, Nina gave birth to their daughter, Olga. After emigrating to the United States from the Soviet Union in 1978, Nina and Boris served as the force behind their remaining family’s gradual immigration to Philadelphia, bringing over parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. Nina’s greatest passion was spending time with her husband and family, cooking family dinners, attending her grandchildren’s performances, and hosting evenings with family and friends. Nina and Boris had a passion for seeing the world and traveled extensively, often bringing their grandchildren along. Nina was the beloved wife of the late Boris, loving mother of Olga (Oleg), devoted grandmother of Janice and Mark, great-grandmother to Grace and Henry. 

Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services Monday, August 12, at 3:30 pm GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG’S FUNERAL DIRECTORS SUBURBAN NORTH, 310 Second Street Pike, Southampton, Pa 18966. Following services all are invited to Nina’s late residence.  Contributions in her memory may be made to Klein Life, 10100 Jamison Ave, Phila, Pa 19116 ( www.kleinlife.org) or the Jewish National Fund, Trees for Israel.
