NETTIE, formerly of Hunting-don Valley, PA, passed away on October 2, 2014, age 91. Nettie was the daughter of Israel and Clara Matz, who emigrated from Kiev to Phila. Nettie was married for 67 years to the late Isadore "Izzy" Ressler. She is survived by daughter Susan of Taos, NM, son Joel (Carol) of Harrisburg, PA, granddaughter Katherine Davis, and step-granddaughter Amanda Gingerich Hall (Andrew). Nettie had four brothers -- Bill, Albert, Moishe and Barney - all born in Russia.
Nettie graduated from Philadel-phia's High School for Girls and attended Temple University. She was active in Hadassah, volunteered at Beth Sholom, traveled around the world with her "Izzy," and made friends wherever she went. She was creative, loved to decorate, and enjoyed walking on the Boardwalk and getting together with friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday October 6th at 11:30 A.M. at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS SUBURBAN NORTH, 310 Second St. Pike, Southampton. PA. Following interment at Shalom Memorial Park, shiva will be observed at Beth Sholom Congregation, 8231 Old York Rd, Elkins Park, PA. Donations in Nettie's memory may be made to Beth Sholom Congregation, Hadassah, or the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
