Nathan Litman Ostroff, a Philly native, passed away suddenly on Sat 12/29/18 while on vacation with his family in Aruba.
He attended Overbrook Sr HS, graduating in 1966, and went on to study at Temple and St. Joseph's university.
Nate was in the wholesale food business his entire working career. (He began by delivering baked goods with his grandfather at the Jersey Shore). Having studied Food Marketing, he became a food broker in the Tri-State Area. Nate was highly respected in the food industry and served as President for Philadelphia Food Trades Organization (PFTO), Tri-State Dairy Deli association and later for the Mid-Atlantic Food Trades Organization (MAFTO). He was also active in the Golden Slipper Club Charities and the Golden Slipper Camp. He is survived by his wife Judi and two children, Carli & Loren, a daughter-in-law Jordana and two beautiful granddaughters, Layla & Avery. In addition, he is survived by his brother Harvey (Lisa) and their three children Noah (Ashley) Ostroff, Matthew (Katie) Ostroff & Hannah Appel (Ben) and their families. He was pre-deceased by his parents Rita (Litman) Ostroff and Jules Ostroff. Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services Thursday January 3, at 12 noon at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL-SACKS, 6410 N. Broad St. Phila. PA 19126. Burial will follow at Montefiore Cemetery. Following services Shiva will be observed at Cong. Beth El-Ner Tamid, 715 Paxon Hollow Road, Broomall, PA 19008. Shiva will continue at the home of Loren and Jordana Ostroff Friday 2 PM � 4 PM, Saturday 6 PM � 8 PM, and Sunday 1 PM � 3 PM and 6 PM � 8 PM.
