MYRTLE ROSEN

ROSEN--Myrtle.

Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and beloved wife of the late Joseph Rosen, passed away on March 30. Myrtle, a graduate of Tyler School of Fine Art, and The Barnes Foundation, was an accomplished and lifelong artist, continually inventive and creative into her 90s. Her involvement in Philadelphia cultural institutions included volunteering as a docent at The Academy of Fine Arts, The Jewish Museum and Philadelphia Tourist Bureau. Besides her creativity, she was known and loved for her quick wit, free spirit and ageless beauty. She was born in Philadelphia in 1925 and was one of four daughters of Sadie and Carl Katz, known as the Katz Girls: Judy, Myrtle, Shassy and Winnie, all forever young and beautiful. Her immediate survivors are her daughter Connie Vick, son Robert Rosen MD, granddaughter Claudia Vick, grandson Andrew Vick, their spouses, three great-grandchildren as well as two sisters and many beloved nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside services Wednesday 2pm precisely at Montefiore Cemetery, Jenkintown, PA (Section 1). Shiva will be observed at her late residence. Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. www.goldsteinsfuneral.com
