The family of Myron L. Anderson is deeply saddened to announce his passing on November 4, 2024 after a brief illness. He was 80.
Myron was born in Philadelphia on October 18, 1944 to Esther and Levy Anderson. He had a happy childhood with his parents, his beloved dog Pudgie, and the entire Katz-Anderson family, including his loving Aunt Tillie and younger brother Kevin (Jill).
Myron graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting. He held various accounting and training roles during his 35-year tenure at the Water Revenue Bureau of the city of Philadelphia.
Myron was a loving husband of 52 years to Sharon (nee Jordan), a devoted father to and wonderful role model for Richard (Julia), and an adoring Pop-Pop to Caleb (born November 2, 2023). He was a die-hard fan of Philadelphia sports, especially the Phillies and Eagles. Myron took great joy in exercise, rarely missing a morning workout in his basement gym. Family and friends will remember him as an intelligent, even-keeled, and happy person who loved to crack jokes and lighten the moods of all those fortunate enough to spend time with him. He will be deeply missed by his close friends and by his bear collection, especially Ted and Foz.
A private graveside service on November 7, 2024. Contributions in his memory can be made to the Guiding Eyes for the Blind at www.guidingeyes.org.
