Myra Pearl Dorf was born February 10th 1937 to Ethel and David Pearl. Myra was raised in Southwest Philadelphia and later in the Logan Section of the city. In chemistry class at Olney High School she met the love of her life Jack Dorf. They were married on June 16th, 1956 and proceeded to have a storybook marriage. In 1967, they moved to Wyndmoor, PA on Patton Road, a single family home in the suburbs. This residence became a Camelot to many who knew them. This home was a place of love and laughter, where many fond memories were had by all. In 1983, Myra entered the work force for the first time. For the next 20 years she walked in her fathers footsteps in the jewelry business and Myra PEARL became a DIAMOND expert!

Despite Myra being an only child, she had relationships with friends and family that was closer then what most people have with their siblings.
In 1987 Myra and her family endured tragedy with the untimely passing of their child Clifford. However, during that same year she was blessed with the first of her eventual 11 grandchildren. Myra had an unlimited and bottomless generosity of love that she offered not only to Jack and the boys, but equally to her extended family and friends. Myra's home had an open door to all for countless holiday dinners and or celebrations. There was nothing more important to her than family and she delighted in every aspect hosting gatherings. Any reason to celebrate was a good one.
Everyone that knew her marveled at her fine sense of style from picking out her wardrobe, decorating her home, down to the finest details setting the holiday table. No surprise, she was voted best dressed in her high school yearbook. Even her grandchildren sought her out for fashion advice.
Myra and Jack were fortunate to travel the country and world with a close group of friends as well.
