Murray Ianni

Murray Ianni, 85, of Philadelphia, passed away on July 23, 2024. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Murray was born on May 25, 1939 in Philadelphia, and lived in the city his entire life. He worked as a claims adjuster at Reliance Standard Life Insurance. His previous careers were in the stock brokerage industry and the Federal Reserve Bank. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and pursuit of excellence. But more than anything, Murray was a devoted friend and son. He was very close with his mother and spoke lovingly of her until the end of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his large group of friends. He spent his time traveling, celebrating and enjoying music and the arts. He lived life fully and loved to eat and laugh with his close knit group of friends. He loved going to the casinos and playing the slot machines. Murray is survived by his niece, June Markhorst and nephew, Sean Slepner and their children Jessica Markhorst and Ethan Slepner. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him. A funeral service will be held July 28th at 11am, Montefiore Cemetery, 600 Church Road, Jenkintown, followed by a lunch at Maggio's restaurant in Southampton.
