Mitchell Polun, 62, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on January 17, 2017. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was a graduate of Northeast High School and he later earned a Bachelors Degree from Stockton University in Galloway Twp., NJ. He worked in the Atlantic City casino industry, first at Bally's and later at Caesar's. After leaving the casino industry, he built his "Tastykake Empire" until retiring just a short time ago. An avid participant at Egg Harbor Township Karate, he proudly achieved a master's level, 4th degree black belt. Mitchell is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Polun; beloved children, Renee Armstrong and Brian Polun and his loving brother, Richard (Elaine) Polun. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services Friday, January 20th, at 11:30am at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Raphael-Sacks, 6410 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA. Interment to follow at Har Jehuda Cemetery in Upper Darby, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mitchell's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arr.
