Milton Silverstein, 86, of Wallingford, Pa., formerly of Yardley, Pa., passed away on October 6, 2024 at Plush Mills Retirement Community.

Milt was born in Philadelphia, Pa. February 17, 1938 to the late Joseph & Nettie (Milgrom) Silverstein and grew up in the Strawberry Mansion community of North Philadelphia where he participated in the Tuckman Family circle. 

Upon graduating from Olney High School in 1956, he was ahead of his time and began his career in the early days of commercial computers. He received his certification in Data Processing from the Data Processing Management Association. After working as Director of Systems Development for the City of Philadelphia for 20 years, he was successful in starting his own company, Computer Assist, selling medical forms for over 30 years.

He volunteered for ALLY (Alternative Living for Later Years), organized day trips at Lower Makefield Senior Center and provided therapeutic clowning at St. Mary’s Medical Center with the Caring Clowns organization. He always enjoyed bringing a smile to everyone he met giving out his yellow smiley face stickers.

Milt enjoyed playing black jack and slots in Atlantic City and poker with his fellow Knights of Pythias Lodge members, traveling the US and cruising the world, always taking home movies of his adventures. He was an enthusiastic Phillies and Eagles fan. His biggest joy was spending time with his family and entertaining and socializing with his friends.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Bernice and wife Geraldine, his brother Raphael, sister Lillian Galter and Uncle Norman Milgrom.

He is survived by his daughter, Sherryl (John Kaspar) Watson, son Bruce (Mindy) Silverstein, step children Donna (David) Dimon, Jill (Rich) Kwasny, Vicki (Spencer) Piel, grandchildren Louis, Nolan (Priscilla), Laura, Jeffrey (Jordana), David (Maia), Sara (Chris), great grandchildren, Kayla, Micah, Roman, Nate, nephew Mitchell (Laurie) Silverstein, niece Paula Fry, great nephew, Alex, great niece, Rachael (Josh) Silverbauer and great-great nephew & niece, Jasper, Roxie.

Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside Services Wednesday, October 16th, 1:00 PM precisely at Roosevelt Memorial Park Cemetery, Trevose, Pa. Arrangements by Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
