Michael Joseph Revness

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Revness, Esquire, age 60, who died on Friday, June 20, 2025.

Michael was the devoted father of Ashley Revness, beloved son of Roberta Revness, and cherished brother of Stuart Revness. He is also remembered with affection by his former wife of 35 years, Dori Revness, with whom he shared a lasting friendship. He was predeceased by his father, Alvin Revness, and brother, Larry Revness. Michael’s faithful dog, Jack, remains a loving companion.

A highly intelligent and authentic man, Michael was a respected father, friend, teacher, and mentor who worked with thousands of attorneys and clients nationwide. After graduating first in his law school class, he co-founded the law firm Kurtz & Revness, building a successful practice over 30 years before retiring to focus on his security alarm business. He was owner of Alarm Guard and SecurityAlarm.com, earning a national reputation as a leading attorney and thought leader in the security alarm and life safety industry.

Before law, Michael taught tennis and was a nationally ranked triathlete and duathlete. He generously donated his expertise through decades of pro bono legal services and education for industry organizations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Michael will be remembered for his integrity, generosity, and the profound impact he made in both his professional and personal life.

Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services on Friday, June 27th, at 11am in the Roosevelt Memorial Park Mausoleum, 2701 Old Lincoln Hwy., Trevose, PA. Interment to follow.  Shiva will be observed starting at 1pm on Friday at the home of Stuart and Polina Revness.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harmony Retreat and Animal Rescue,  www.harmonyrar.org, 2312 Terwood Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
