Michael J. Gershman, 50, of Yardley, Pennsylvania passed away in his home surrounded by family on June 23, 2020, after battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig's disease. Michael is survived by his wife Angela (Kaas) Gershman; his daughters April and Danielle Gershman; his parents Harvey and Sheila (Benn) Gershman; his brother and his wife Eric and Andrea (Singer) Gershman; seven nieces and nephews; and many other family members.
Michael Gershman was born and raised in Philadelphia. He earned a degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1991. He and his wife, Angela, met at Penn State, married in 1995 and had twin daughters in 2003. Michael was a beloved employee at NAXION for 28 years, a length of time unheard of in today's job market. He was a big brother in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association. Michael was an easy going, fun-loving guy who liked nothing more than to spend time with family and friends. He enjoyed a good meal with friends and having a good laugh. He was a master storyteller and always had a good, usually funny story to entertain the masses. His quintessential story was one about him jumping off a train. He loved watching most sports, but football was his first love, specifically the Eagles. He was heavily involved with fantasy football for the last 25+ years, and loved a good March Madness tournament. He loved hiking, traveling around the world, seeing the national parks, and the odd road stop along the way. He loved the beach and spending time at the Jersey Shore and the Outer Banks. He also enjoyed playing games and watching game shows.
Because of the COVID-19 situation, funeral services will not be held at this time. A remembrance ceremony will be planned for a later date and notifications for that will go out at that time.
