Meyer Weiner of Wyomissing, PA died November 16, 2021 at the age of 97. Born in Philadelphia, he was a veteran of World War II, serving as an assistant to General Nugent in the Army Air Corps in the European theater. Upon return from the war, he graduated from Temple University where he studied accounting. He passed his CPA exam in 1954, a year in which only 11% of applicants passed the exam. He worked as a special agent in the Treasury Department and later maintained a private accounting practice for many decades in Reading, PA.
He is survived by his loving wife Jane, daughter Carol Kaplan, and sons Carl Weiner (Terri), Samuel Weiner (Elizabeth Levinson), and David Weiner. He was predeceased by his son Joel Weiner. He is also survived by grandchildren Adam Kaplan, Scott Weiner (Caroline), Michael Weiner, Benjamin Weiner, and Dylan Weiner, along with great-granddaughter Julia Weiner.
Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Friday, November 19 at 10:00 AM precisely GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS, 6410 N Broad St., Philadelphia PA 19126. Interment Montefiore Cemetery. Shiva will be observed Friday evening 7-9 PM at the home of Carl and Terri Weiner, Saturday evening 6:30-9 PM at the home of Jane Weiner, and Sunday evening 6-8:30 PM at the home of Sam Weiner and Elizabeth Levinson.
