On December 28, 2025, at 6:30 pm, surrounded by all her kids, Merryl Nan Fulmer took her last breath, leaving behind a family who adored her, a legacy of love, and memories that will be retold – often loudly and with laughter – for years to come.
Born on December 23, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, Merryl – or as she always stated “Merry with an L” had a personality that could fill a room and a heart that made everyone feel welcome. She was kind, caring, colorful, and endlessly generous, and never did anything halfway – especially when it came to loving the people closest to her.
Family was her pride and joy. She loved being Mom, Bubbie, and mother-in-love. She took these roles seriously, but also brought plenty of humor. Her love showed up in phone calls, text messages, and ridiculous reels shared in Facebook messenger. She loved a reason to listen to the Beatles or Meatloaf, and sharing a meal. These memories will forever feel like home.
Outside of family, Merryl was known for tutoring mammography and radiology. Merryl taught at many schools and hospitals throughout her career. Her favorite way to share her knowledge and expertise was through private tutoring via her website www.merrylfulmer.com. She will always be remembered by the hundreds of students who she helped pass the AART exam.
Merryl is survived by her husband Jay, sons Will and Scott, daughter-in-love Lauren (Gilmore) and Katye (Ross), grandchildren Joshua and Shira, sister Beryl, many family members, and an extensive network of friends, all of whom carry a piece of her with them.
A graveside service will take place TOMORROW, Tuesday, December 30 at 11:00 AM precisely

Followed by a celebration of Merryl’s life at 12:30 PM

Merryl wanted this to be a party, so please wear your favorite colorful clothes or leopard print in her honor.
(If you are unable to be attend, a livestream will be available @ https://www.oyrtbetham.org/livestream.)

Merryl will be missed deeply and daily, but her spirit lives on in family gatherings, a shopping trip, or a good meal surrounded by family. The world is quieter without her, but our hearts are fuller because of her. 💜
