MERRILL SPORKIN

On October 21, 2017. A man of wisdom, integrity and honor whose love for his family was limitless. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Goldberg), devoted son of the late Nathan and late Mayme Sporkin. Cherished father to Andi Sporkin and Dr. Bradley (Karyn) Sporkin, grandfather to Danielle (Jasen Kelly) Sporkin and Eric Sporkin.

Mr. Sporkin was a leading force in the door and hardware field as President and CEO of Sporkin Associates, a leading rep firm of major brands; author of numerous federal door standards and codes that improved public safety; and the country's foremost expert witness on door and hardware issues including product defects, forensics and disability issues. A Certified Door Consultant, he consulted with attorneys nationally on nearly 500 cases. He was a graduate of Central High School and Penn State and served the country in the US Army 101st Airborne Division.

Services will be held at Har Jehuda Cemetery, 8400 Lansdowne Avenue, Upper Darby, PA on Tuesday, October 24, 11AM. Shiva will be observed Tuesday afternoon at the family home in Merion.
