Mary J. Sireci (nee DiGrado), 96, of Drexel Hill, and formerly of South Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026.
She was the beloved wife for 65 years of the late Anthony J. Sireci; dear mother of Joanne Sireci, Lisa (John, Sr.) Savarese, Mary Jo Sireci, and Joseph (Debbie) Sireci; devoted grandmother of Alicia Savarese, John (Jenny) Savarese, Jr., and Adrianna Savarese; and the loving "Gigi" and best friend of Lilyanne and Madelyn. She is also survived by her dear nieces and nephews: Linda (John) Lawler, Daniel Dandrea, Judy Dandrea, Christie (Sam Laseter) Lawler, Noelle, and Ava. In addition to her husband, Anthony, Mary was predeceased by her cherished parents, Peter and Stella (nee Ragusa) DiGrado; three sisters who passed away in early childhood; and her beloved sister, brother-in-law, and lifelong friends, Josephine and Armando Dandrea.
Her faith, family, a home-cooked meal, and lively conversation around the dining room table were what Mary treasured most. She found great joy in taking care of those she loved, was an avid reader, and served as an active volunteer at St. Bernadette Parish. Mary was deeply devoted to the Blessed Mother through the rosary, and her warmth and presence will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Monday, June 1, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Bernadette of Lourdes Church, 1001 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory may be made to St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA 19026, or to the Knights of Columbus, Ave Maria Council #4063, ATTN: Frank Medora, 832 Harper Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA 19026.
