Age 94, passed away on Sept. 9, 2017. Loving and adoring husband of Libby (nee Alexander). Son of the late Rose Schwartz. Brother of the late Anita Jurikson. Predeceased by his first wife, Helene "Honey" Schwartz. Adored father of Bruce (the late Judith), Ellen, Marc (Angela Tulio), Gordon Zeis (Matthew Zarkos), Sally Hyman (Rob), and the late James. Beloved Pop-Pop of Nick, Jacob, Lea, Hope, and the late Molly. Marvin was born and raised in West Philadelphia, graduated from West Philadelphia High School, and served in the U.S. Navy in Yerba Buena, CA, as a stenographer during WWII. He was President/Owner of Hercules Fibres Corporation since 1949 and worked until his final days. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man who loved poetry and art, had a quick wit, and was a consummate and entertaining storyteller. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
