Marvin D. Ginsberg

Marvin D. Ginsberg passed away peacefully at the age of 92 at his home at the beach on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Son of the late Herbert and Lena Ginsberg, Marvin grew up in Philadelphia, PA, graduated from Olney High School and went work for his father, a tie maker. When he went to New York City, he saw a store called Shirts Unlimited and decided to open a store at 3rd and Market called Shirt Corner.  Loving what he did, he expanded his business to a full men’s store which he owned for 48 years and added the “Plus”.   He was also a long-time member of Gamma.

He was married to Davida Ginsberg, his devoted soul mate of 52 years. Marvin was a die-hard Eagles and Flyers fan and loved watching all Philly sports on television in his retirement.   Marvin was a friendly, generous, humorous, and beautiful person inside and out.  He loved everybody he met and everyone loved him.  He even had a boat named Love.  We will miss his awesome memory, great wit, and seeing him sunbathing on the patio.
