MARTIN "Marty" GOLDBERG, 69, May 12, 2010. Marty was born to the late Edward and Anna Albert Goldberg of Phila. He shared an occupational life with his dad and brothers in the family business, Edward E. Goldberg and Sons, Inc. In retirement years, he met and married his wife, and made his home in Greenville, NC for the last 14 years. In his love for little children, he was devoted in sponsoring educational endeavors. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister-in-law, Erwin and Lola Goldberg; and his spouse Ellen Lubner Goldberg. Surviving are his wife, Pamela B. Duncan (Goldberg), of Greenville, NC; daughter, Fern G. Russell and husband, John, and their children, Stephanie and John Russell, Jr., of Phila.; son, Edward Goldberg, of Folsom; twin brother, Elliott Goldberg and wife, Sandy, of Warminster; brother, Sheldon Goldberg and wife, Lois, of Phila.; parents-in-law, Nicholas and Louise Simonowich, of Greenville, NC. A Graveside Service will be conducted Sunday May 23, 2010, 11 A.M., Montefiore Cem., Jenkintown, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Library Fund or Children's Scholarship Fund, 2606 East 5th Street, Greenville, NC 27858.
