Marsha S. Langsam

Marsha Sharon Langsam (nee Solomon) passed away peacefully on the morning of January 31, 2026 while surrounded and embraced by the love of her family to whom she was passionately devoted and of whom she was immensely proud. Marsha and her loving husband, Saul, Esq., celebrated 50 years of marriage in October 2025. Marsha and Saul built a life built upon love, compassion and family. Beyond her marriage, Marsha was most proud of her three sons – Dr. Jeffrey (Dr. Stacey) Langsam, Andrew (Dr. Amy) Langsam and David (Dr. Stephanie) Langsam. While an ardent supporter of everything they accomplished, perhaps her favorite pastime was laughing loudly with her family and claiming that, likely because of the volume, no one would believe her if she tried to explain that her kids were actually professionals. Marsha is the cherished Bubby of nine grandchildren – Sydney, Neve, Chase, Ethan, Haley, Emma, Spencer, Devin and Brayden. While she never got the daughter she wanted, she was blessed with three daughters-in-law whom she adored and five granddaughters whom she spoiled. 

Born and raised a Bell’s Corner girl, Marsha graduated from Northeast High School and Moore College of Art. Marsha brilliantly merged her wish to be a stay-at-home mother with her creative and artistic spirit. She expressed her artistic talents through stained glass creations, drawing, and painting—works that reflected both her patience and her eye for beauty. 

Marsha had a deep love for travel, especially to Italy. Montecatini held a special place in her heart, a destination she visited more than ten times over the years. Her passion for the region grew so strong that she eventually became, in spirit, a tour guide—bringing friends along each year to share in the culture, food, and joy she so deeply appreciated. Beyond her love of Europe, Marsha enjoyed spending her summers in Ventnor and part of her winters in Aspen. 

An exceptional cook and gracious host, Marsha found happiness in the kitchen and around the table. She prepared fresh meals nightly, loved to bake, and delighted in hosting gatherings for family and friends. Her annual Fourth of July celebration at the shore was legendary, featuring her beloved cold salmon with green cucumber sauce—a dish that will forever be associated with her warmth and generosity. 

Marsha will be remembered not only for her devotion to family and her many talents, but also for her sense of humor and lighthearted spirit. She loved a good joke and often reminded those around her to enjoy life, laugh often, and not take things too seriously. 

She touched the lives of everyone she met and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Tuesday (February 3, 2026) at precisely 11 AM at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Funeral Directors, 6410 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19126. Interment at Roosevelt Memorial Park. A luncheon will follow immediately after burial at Tiffany's Restaurant, 9010 Roosevelt Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19115. Shiva will be observed commencing 6 PM Tuesday through Sunday at the late residence.
