Marlene (Schickman) Stampone
May 14, 1957 – October 3, 2025
Marlene Stampone (née Schickman), 68, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at 4:33 a.m. at Jefferson Hospital in Montgomery County, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on May 14, 1957, Marlene grew up in a close-knit family and carried her strength, kindness, and humor through every chapter of her life.
She is survived by her children: Joseph Stampone (spouse Brittany), Nikole Stampone, and Mike Stampone (spouse Angelena); her beloved granddaughter, Capri Stampone; and her fur-grandbabies, who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind her siblings, Cheryl Schickman, Ira Schickman, Steven Schickman, and Brenda Fink; her former husband of over 35 years, Nicholas Stampone Jr.; and many extended family members and friends.
Marlene was the daughter of the late Mathilda and Joseph Schickman, whose love and values helped shape the woman she became.
Marlene lived her life with a big heart and a resilient spirit. She loved playing Yahtzee with her family, enjoying meals out, and creating memories filled with laughter. She greeted strangers like old friends, never hesitating to show warmth and kindness. Those who knew her will always remember her as strong, brave, funny, and endlessly loving — a woman who didn’t take any nonsense but gave everything of herself to those she cared about.
Her family will forever treasure her humor, her fierce loyalty, and her unwavering love. Her favorite song, Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd, will continue to echo her free spirit and the love she carried through her life.
