Marlene was a unique individual with a profound love for music, particularly classic rock, and had a passion for arts and crafts.
Marlene Curran (Furdella), aka "Marny," of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 16, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Charles Furdella and the late Mary Furdella (Megelsh). Marlene is survived by her children, Julie Curran and Marc Curran; her grandchildren, Jake, Jenn, Caitlyn Sullivan, and Johannah; and her great-grandchildren, Roman, Sunny, and Maddox. She was also the sister of Dolores (Dee) Young, Anne Marie Furdella, Gregory (Greg) Furdella, and Charles (Chuck) Furdella. Marlene was the lifelong domestic partner of the late Stephen Ott and beloved aunt to Joseph Young, Brenna Dinon, Charlotte, Kristen, Katie, Julie and C.J.
Marlene was a unique individual with a profound love for music, particularly classic rock, and had a passion for arts and crafts. She enjoyed leisure activities, especially sitting outside and socializing within her community, as well as advocating for causes she felt strongly about. Staying informed about current news events was important to her. Her witty sense of humor, ability to engage in deep conversations, and insightful nature will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
