Mark Rosenberg, 75, of Voorhees, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. He was born on June 27, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA. Mark attended Central High School in Philadelphia PA and then went on to Drexel University, where he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. He is a veteran of the US Armed Forces, and played piccolo and flute in the 157th Army Brigade Band, showcasing his musical talent and love for music.
Professionally, Mark started his career at the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC). He later joined the Port Authority of NY and NJ, where he was hired to redesign and rebuild the World Trade Center parking garage following the 1993 terrorist bombing. Years later while still employed with the Port Authority, he survived the World Trade Center attacks on the morning of September 11, 2001.
He was a kind-hearted, gentle person, and anyone that got to know him, loved him. Mark enjoyed spending time with his family, bike rides, trips to the shore, skiing, listening to music, and the occasional sudoku puzzle. He was also a dedicated fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Philadelphia Flyers.
Mark is survived by his sister, Zenia (Vicki); His sons, Alec (wife Allissa) and David (wife Gina); and his grandchildren, Kara, Matthew, Tegan, and Owen. He was preceded in death by his mother, Adella, and father, Irving.
