Marjorie Doris Chaim

June 29, 1939 — January 30, 2026

Warminster, PA

Marjorie Doris Chaim passed away at the age of 86 on January 30, 2026, in Warminster, PA. She died peacefully at home after a short illness, surrounded by family.

Marge was born on June 29, 1939, in New York City, oldest daughter and first child of Sam and Mildred Offsay. She received her undergraduate and her master’s degrees in education and history from Hunter College, then worked as a teacher in the Bronx, NY. On March 25, 1962, she married Howard Chaim, her beloved life partner for the following 64 years. Following the birth of three children, Marge and Howie moved to Warminster, PA, where they lived together for more than 53 years, most of the time in their house on Spencer Lane. Their home became a center for visits from a huge number of family and friends, full of the sound of conversation, a ringing phone, and chewing from the food that family and visitors all loved. Marge had a second career at U. S. Healthcare in its early years as a trainer and mentor. After retiring, she continued to enjoy her many friends and family, including her five grandsons and her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and -nephews, and cousins. She also enjoyed her regular mahjong games, and – as a lifelong, dedicated reader – her many books.

Marge is survived by her husband, Howard Chaim; her children, Michael Chaim, Barbara Chaim (Chris Nestel), and Beth Anson (Brian); her grandchildren, Sam and Henry Chaim, Spencer and Ryan Anson, and Benjamin Nestel; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Julian and Jan Offsay and Jerry and Pam Offsay; her sister, Lori Jankovic (Joe); brother-in-law Leonard Chaim; many nieces and nephews, whom she loved like grandchildren, as well as her young grandnieces and -nephews; beloved cousins and other extended family; and a network of friends, many of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved first cousin and friend, Martin Aronauer, and her cousin Linda Bernstein. The family would like to thank her conscientious caregivers over the past year, as well as Compassus Hospice, for easing her passing.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 1:30 PM, at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966. Following the service, Marge will be interred at Shalom Memorial Park, 3573 Pine Rd., Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. A reception will follow immediately afterward at Ann’s Choice, Warminster, PA.
