Marjorie Sondra Blumenthal

Marjorie Sondra Blumenthal, known by Sande to all, was born August 15, 1946 to Dr. Edward and Sylvia Weiss. She was the middle child to her siblings, Diane (Dr. Harry) Bass and Dr. Alan (Susan) Weiss. Sande grew up in Elkins Park and graduated high school and received her Bachelors from Temple University before going on to teach In both public and private schools in and around Philadelphia. 

Her favorite pastime was family. Talking, dining, teaching, traveling, spending time with and calling them all often; family was her passion. She enjoyed tennis, canasta, art and always finding ways to improve the world. She's survived by her children, Frank (Rebecca) Blumenthal and Stuart Blumenthal (Dr. Donna Cohen), her 5 grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan, Noa, Ariel and Ellie. She was preceded by her ex-husband, Ted Blumenthal and her best friend of over 30 years Giovanni (Johnny) Caserta. 

Friends and family are welcome to her celebration of life. Services will be Thursday, September 19th at 9:30 am, Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Suburban North, 310 Second Street Pike, Southampton, PA . An interment brunch following the service at the home of Frank and Rebecca Blumenthal. Shiva will be observed Thursday evening at 6:30 pm at the home of Stuart Blumenthal and Dr. Donna Cohen.
