IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marilyn
Sherman
May 3, 1931 – March 23, 2026
Marilyn Sherman
Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Funeral Directors Suburban North
Starts at 11:30 am (Eastern time)
MARILYN SHERMAN (nee Deckelbaum), 94, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, with her loving daughters, Lisa Sherman (Julie Lichtstein) and Nancy Shrier (Neal) by her side. Marilyn was the beloved wife of Edwin, who predeceased her in 2017; and devoted and adored grandmother of Zoey, Dylan, and Jordyn. Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Miami Beach, Marilyn moved to Philadelphia to marry Ed, whom she met on a girl’s weekend in the Catskills. Their marriage was filled with love and family. Together, they enjoyed travel, the arts and the Philadelphia Eagles. A fierce competitor, Marilyn loved tennis, bridge, canasta and mini golf. Marilyn and Ed relocated to South Florida, residing in Highland Beach and in recent years at Sinai Residences in Boca Raton. In addition to her bridge and canasta games, Marilyn enjoyed attending cultural programs and lectures. She was an avid reader and loved to convene social gatherings. To her last moment, Marilyn was sharp, with-it, thoughtful, engaged and beautiful in every way. Her laugh was hearty and infectious. She left her life as she lived it: peacefully, thoughtfully and on her own terms. To all who knew her, Marilyn was the life of the party. Her legacy of kindness, precision, consideration, love and laughter will live in the hearts of all whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services on Friday, March 27, 2026, 11:30 AM precisely at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966. Interment will follow at Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions in Marilyn’s memory be made to the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County (https://jewishboca.org)
