Marilyn Getzow age 89, of Warminster, New Hope and Doylestown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023. Marilyn was the widow of Charles Getzow, her loving husband of 67 years of marriage, and the proud mother of Ellen Graham, Martin Getzow and Stewart Getzow, deceased. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Gregory Graham, Samantha Graham, Nathaniel Getzow, Matthew Getzow and Andrew Getzow and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Charlotte Graham. In addition, she leaves behind an extended family, including Larry Graham, Judi Field, Lisa Getzow and Alex Graham.

Marilyn was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of Morris and Gertrude Goldberg and the sister of Stanley Goldberg, all deceased. She attended Sarah Barton Elementary School and Olney High School. At age 14, on a double date, she met the love of her life, Charles, when he was 16 years old. She graduated from Olney High School and soon after they married. Then together they traveled to Camp Gordon, GA where Charles served in the military.

She and her sweetheart Charles developed many friendships at Congregation Kehilat Hanahar, New Hope and Temple B'nai Israel, Wilmington, NC. She created and maintained friendships, some lifelong, in Warminster, Philadelphia, New Hope, Central Bucks Senior Center and Wilmington, North Carolina. Everyone who knew her will never forget her warm smile, hospitality and sociable personality. They will remember her enthusiasm for bridge, rummikub, gin rummy, rummy 500, and a myriad of other games.

Marilyn supported Charles in the family jewelry business for many years. She retired from her position as administrative assistant at Alfa-Laval (formerly Pennwalt), Warminster. After raising their children, Marilyn and Charles spent many years vacationing in North Carolina, becoming involved with volunteering, enriching their lives and where they still have numerous friends.
