Marian Brooks (nee Adams) of Valley Forge, PA, passed away from Parkinson’s Disease. She was 84. Marian is predeceased by her father, Abraham Adams, mother, Jean Adams, and brother, Michael Adams.Born in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia, Marian was a graduate of Philadelphia High School for Girls and the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. After raising her children in Broomall, PA, Marian returned to school and earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Villanova University. After graduation, she worked as a marriage counselor for many years.

Marian enjoyed going on cruises with her husband, spending time with friends, going to the movies, reading, scrapbooking, playing Bridge, knitting, sewing, and making jewelry. To receive one of her handmade cards was a heartfelt gift full of love and intention. Though not a gourmand, she had a true penchant for chocolate—and an uncanny knack for finding the very best! She is survived by her husband Robert Pino of Valley Forge, daughter llene (Cory) Solar of Philadelphia, son Gary Solar of Buffalo, NY, stepson Robert Pino, granddaughter Anna Solar of Buffalo, NY, grandson Ethan Wickham of Chicago, IL, sister-in-law Susan Adams of Philadelphia, PA, niece Rachel Adams-Kaplan, (Sean) a grand-neice and grand-nephew.
