MARCY GOLDHAMMER

Marcy Abrams Goldhammer, daughter of the late Joseph and Selma Abrams, died peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of December 28, 2021. She was 72 years old.

Born June 25, 1949 in Philadelphia, Marcy grew up in Levittown and graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1967. She attended the University of Pittsburgh where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Psychology and was awarded Phi Beta Cappa. She then got a Master's Degree in Special Education from Temple University and taught special education for 25 years at William Penn Middle School in Pennsbury School District before she retired in 2011.

Marcy was the beloved wife and best friend of 33 years to Dr. Howard Goldhammer of Yardley; mother of Jessica (Jason) Lowrey of Lafayette, Colorado, Matthew Lang of Chicago, Illinois; step-mother of Dr. Jordan (Dr. Claire Raab) Goldhammer of Philadelphia, and Brett (Evin Kozak) Goldhammer of Wyndmoor; and Bubbie to Noah and Eli Lowrey, Simone, Joel, Dean, and Eve Goldhammer, and brand new baby Lovie Goldhammer. Marcy was the cherished sister of Helene (Larry) Hart of Holland, nephew Dr. Jason (Dr. Patti Anolik) Hart, niece Ashley (Josh Appelbaum) Hart, and many great nieces and nephews.
Marcy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Selma Abrams of Levittown and nephew Aaron Hart of Holland.

Graveside burial and funeral services will be held promptly at 10:00 am on Friday, December 31, 2021 at King David Memorial Park, 3594 Bristol Road, Bensalem. Masks are requested. Due to COVID, Shiva will be observed by immediate family only. Family and friends are welcome to participate in a Zoom Shiva service on Sunday, January 2, 2021 at 4:30 pm.
