January 8, 1934 — March 23, 2026

Philadelphia, PA

Marcia Ethel (Leibman) Weinberg of Philadelphia passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, at the age of 92.

Born on January 8, 1934, in Philadelphia to Isadore and Lillian (Roy) Leibman, Marcia lived a full and vibrant life rooted in love, resilience, and deep connection to family and friends. An only child, she grew up in the city she would always call home, attending Clara Barton Elementary School and Olney High School before going on to Temple University, where she trained as a dental hygienist.

On October 24, 1954, she married the love of her life, Sidney Weinberg. Together, they built an extraordinary partnership that spanned more than 70 years—a true love story filled with adventure, laughter, and unwavering devotion. They traveled the world side by side, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Sidney predeceased her in September 2025.

Marcia’s life was defined by her strength and spirit. She bravely overcame serious health challenges, surviving brain tumor surgeries in both the early 1970s and mid-1980s with remarkable courage and determination.

She was predeceased by her beloved son, Robert Neil Weinberg. She is survived by her loving daughters, Cindy Pitts (Richard Pitts) and Mandy Weinberg (Pasquale Onofrio), and by the grandchildren who brought her immense joy: Lindsey Pitts, Harrison Pizzi (Christina Pizzi), Samuel Cluff (Brittany Cluff), and Andrew Cluff (Sydney Fritz). She was also the proud great-grandmother of Serena Jean Pizzi, who carried forward her legacy of love.

Marcia had a gift for bringing people together. She was known for hosting joyful gatherings and unforgettable parties, where everyone felt welcome. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and celebration.

Deeply committed to giving back, Marcia dedicated much of her time to volunteer work supporting individuals with special needs and contributing to Jewish organizations close to her heart. Her generosity and compassion touched many lives.

She was also blessed with a lifelong circle of five close friends—a rare and cherished bond that remained strong through the decades and was a constant source of joy and support.

Marcia will be remembered for her resilience, her kindness, her vibrant spirit, and the deep love she shared so freely. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and the countless lives she enriched.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Marcia's name to SPIN, her favorite charitable organization, at https://spininc.org/donate/.
