MARCIA (nee Smith)
Age 94 years young, of Cheltenham and Rydal Park. Passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018 after a long illness. Loving wife of 73 years to her childhood sweetheart, Fred, to whom she was secretly engaged at the age of 12. Beloved and devoted mother to Kenneth (Barbara), Myrna, and Harris (Dana); She also leaves behind grandchildren, Amy Malkin (Eric Adams), Jennifer Solano (Rod), Christina Fleckenstein (John), and Scott Sangrey (Heather) and great grandchildren, Jake Aronowitz, Justin Aronowitz, Skylar Solano, and Victoria Solano, who affectionately called her "GG." She is also survived by many adoring cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Marcia enjoyed playing Mah Jongg and bridge and made friends wherever she went. She cherished the friendships she had with so many at Rydal Park and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service for friends and family will be held at 2:00 P.M. TODAY, Sunday, September 2, in the main auditorium at The Rydal Park Retirement Community, 1515 The Fairway, Rydal Park, PA 19046. Shiva will take place on Monday, September 3, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. in the 6th Floor Sun and Social Room at Rydal Park. Contributions to her memory may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of choice.
