
MANKO
LYNN KIMMELMAN
75, of Center City Philadelphia, died peacefully with her family around her from leukemia and renal failure on Monday, January 1, 2018. She is survived by her husband of more than 55 years Joseph Manko, Sr., her sons Joe Jr. and Glenn and daughter Dr. Wendy Manko Singer, her daughter-in-law Jennifer Porges and son-in-law Steve Singer, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene and Linda Manko and Sandy Kimmelman, her grandchildren Dean and Alexandre Manko, her granddaughters Sarah and Sofia Singer and Mackenzie and Sydney Manko.
Born to Joshua and Selma Kimmelman in 1942, she graduated from Boston University and served as an assistant athletic director and then facility manager at the University of Pennsylvania. At the time of her death, she was serving as the Chair of Volunteer Annual Giving and Vice Chair of the Central Committee of the Philadelphia Orchestra Association and a member of the Boards of Directors for the Mural Arts of Philadelphia and the Symphony House Condominium Associations.
A memorial service will be held at Noon on Friday Jan. 5 at her synagogue Beth David Reform Congregation, 1130 Vaughan Lane, in Gladwyne. Int. Haym Salomon Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at 6:30 P.M. Saturday Jan. 6 and from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday Jan. 7 at Symphony House, 8th fl., 440 S. Broad St., Phila. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Beth David Reform Congregation, Philadelphia Orchestra Assoc., 1 S. Broad St., Phila., PA 19102, or Mural Arts of Philadelphia, 1729 Mt.
