Louise Berliner

Louise (Frankel) Berliner, born on December 27, 1929, of Detroit Michigan, passed away late in the night December 23, 2025, and was reunited with her husband Paul on their 68th wedding anniversary.

Throughout her life, Louise had many different jobs and volunteered several charitable hours, but her favorite job of all was being a devoted wife, loving mother, and spending time with her granddaughters who were her pride and joy.

Louise was known for her hospitality and would always leave your belly full after a visit. She was a friend to all and could always make you laugh. She was an avid reader, enjoyed long walks, and never said no to a piece of chocolate cake.

Louise is reunited with her beloved parents, Aaron and Clara Frankel, her dearest husband Paul, her cherished sister Bernice Handler, along with her treasured son David.

Louise is survived by her daughter Miriam and son-in-law Ed Schmitt, her granddaughters, Alison and Elaina, her younger sister Marilynn Skulsky, and many nieces and nephews- all who carry forward her legacy of love.

A private gravesite ceremony will take place with immediate family only. The family requests that donations in Louise’s memory be made to the Jewish Federation of Philadelphia or the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org. May her memory forever be a blessing.
