Lois Fox (Shapiro)

Lois Fox died from kidney failure after almost 10 years on dialysis on August 3rd , surrounded by her loving family. She was survived by her daughters Ivy MacIntyre (Allyn), Jodi Gorodesky (Rich) and Mindy Heifler (Michael) and her grandchildren Lauren, Adam, Lexi, Ariel, Steven, Alex and Eric.

She was the matriarch of the family and was loved by all her nieces, nephews, friends and everyone who knew her as Bubby. Lois was a true role model – strong, selfless, optimistic and loving - always giving to others. She was the best of the best and everything we could have asked for in a mom, grandmother, aunt and friend. Lois spent her professional career selling real estate, opening the first woman’s real estate office after passing her broker test. Later, she sold new construction and got so much joy selling young people their first homes. To say she will be missed is an understatement. She touched everyone’s heart who had the pleasure of meeting her.

A private graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 6th. Shiva will follow at the jersey shore on Sunday night where she spent so many happy memories.
