Linda Sue Waxler, 74, passed away on August 29, 2022. She was the longtime partner of Thomas Smith, and the daughter of Clare and Samuel Waxler. She is survived by her sister Marilyn DuBois and brothers Richard and Robert Waxler. She also leaves behind a large extended family and many good friends.
Linda enjoyed traveling, and visited countries all over the world. She relished good food, and was always up for discovering new places to eat. She attended concerts, museums and independent films regularly and she took much pleasure in reading and music. She played the recorder, and she was a talented and prolific ceramicist who was always striving to improve her technique.
She began rescuing cats with her partner Tom. They shared a great love of animals. After his death, she continued taking in cats herself and loved having them in her life. She trapped street cats and got them neutered and adopted, and she supported a colony of cats in the city. She was a very active member of the cat rescuing community.
Linda will be sorely missed by her family and friends, both human and feline. Contributions in Linda's memory may be made to any cat rescue group. She would love that.
