LILLIAN (nee Natkin), age 102, died February 6, 2009. Mrs. Slubin was graduated from South Philadelphia High School for Girls in 1925. She was auditor of Bnai Brith Philadelphia Council for 13 years, President of the Oak Lane Chapter of Bnai Brith, and was Donor Treasurer of Bnai Brith Council for 2 years. Mrs. Slubin was a life member of Bnai Brith, Deborah, Hadassah, and the America Society for Technion. In recent years, she was a familiar sight in Rittenhouse Square enjoying the sunshine and her great popularity with all the children and local residents accompanied by her loving special granddaughter, Gabriela Petrone, and devoted friend, Ingeborg Belschner. Loving mother of Adrianne Epstein and the late Marvin Epstein, Barbara Cantor and the late Edward Cantor, and Sandra and Paul Weinberg. Devoted grandmother of Sheryl and Ed Harbeson, Max Cantor and Samantha Carr. Step grandmother of Ronald, Lisa, and Samuel Cantor. Great grandmother of Tiffany Niehorster.
