RENSEL

LILLIAN (nee Rossman), died on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Jack Rensel. She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Moscow (Neil) and Lynn Shecter (Howard), her grandchildren Julie and David Moscow, Jonathan Shecter, Jane Shecter Saul, James Rensel Shecter, and her great grandchildren Tommy and Valerie Saul. She was an exceptionally kind, generous and caring woman, with a great sense of fashion and style. She was a lady ahead of her time, professionally engaged as a model, clothing buyer and a retailer. She was an active member of Beth Sholom Cong. for many years with her husband, Jack, as they raised their daughters. She later joined Temple Beth Shalom- Beth El, where she volunteered in the gift shop. She survived her late husbands Jack Renzel, a Marketing and Broadcasting executive with the Philadelphia Athletics and Harold Polacoff, who died in WWII and was awarded a Purple Heart. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, graduated from West Phila. High School and was a long time resident of Melrose Park. She resided in Center City, Phila., and would vacation regularly with a large family entourage and much luggage in Palm Beach, FL and Longport, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Tues., Oct. 11, 2011 at 1P.M. promptly at Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El, 1001 Remington Rd., Wynnewood, PA 19096 following the Interment at Montefiore Cem. The family will return to the Moscow residence for a service at 7:30 P.M. and the family will be at the Shecter residence on Wed., at 7 P.M. Donations in Lillian's name may be made to either the Thoracic Oncology Research Laboratory in memory of Lillian Rensel c/o the Trustee's of the University of Pennsylvania Perelman Center, 3400 Civic Center Blvd., Phila., PA. 19104 or to Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El.
