Lillian Eunice Friedman

June 19, 1927-April 24, 2026

Lillian Friedman age 98 of Warminster , PA passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Elmer Friedman (deceased August 8, 2024) for 75 idyllic years. Their love only grew over the years, and it was common to see them holding hands or stealing kisses until the day they passed away.

Lillian is described as an inspiration by her children and grand children. She attended the Philadelphia College of Optometry and became a Doctor of Optometry at a time when most women did not attend college. She was a political activist, and canvassed into her 80’s for her favorite political candidates. In her 60’s, she learned ceramics and became an accomplished artist of ceramic tiles depicting scenes from her childhood memories plus scenes captured around the city of Philadelphia and places that she visited and loved. She also loved to knit, crochet, and needlepoint. She loved watching all sports and especially loved to attend Phillies games.

Lillian was active in Hadassah her entire adult life, volunteering for various positions and projects over the years. She also volunteered for Meals on wheels.

Education was all important to Lillian. She remained active in Book Clubs, Bible study, and Jewish Adult Ed. Lillian and Elmer were both active members of Congregation Adath Jeshurun and loved their Jewish life and friends there.

Lillian loved spending time with friends and family, and she and Elmer could be found after dinner at Anns Choice playing bridge til the wee hours with friends.

Lillian is survived by her two daughters Randi (Al) and Debbie. Bubbe was dearly loved by grandchildren Dara (Anthony), Travis (Victoria), Matthew (Brittany), and Craig (Lisa), and by her great grandchildren Charlotte, Casey, Evan, Jocelyn, Anya, and Fred. She was also called Bubbe and beloved by her nieces Norrie (Chris), Jordana, Ilana, and nephew David.

She and her smile will be missed.

Donations in her memory can be made to Hadassah.
