Leonard Sussman, 86 of Elkins Park, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Lenny, as many called him, was a kind soul with a huge heart. He was predeceased by his true love, Lynn Sussman, and always looked forward to being around his children, Kenneth (Diane) Sussman, Leslie (Scott Alabrodzinski) Sussman, Matt (Tracy) Sussman, Marnie (Howard) Sudnow, Jodi (Stefan) Bauer, brother of Stanley (Carol) Sussman; also survived by 10 loving grandchildren. Family was most important to him and being called Dad and Pop-Pop was at the top.
Many folks call Wednesday hump day, however to anyone who knew Lenny, it was Poker Day. Wednesday nights were coveted to him as he had a standing poker game for the past 50 years. He also loved his fishing adventures with his buddies whether it was down the shore or off to Canada for a secluded fishing adventure, he enjoyed spending the time with the guys. How can we forget his love for his Phillies and Eagles too. Lenny enjoyed helping at the soup kitchen on Saturdays and performing other acts of Tikkun Olam.
“The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of you shall never pass away.” (unknown)
Sleep well Lenny!
