Born on June 2, 1928, Leatrice “Lee” Kazze passed away quietly on March 28, 2024. She was the only child of William Kazze and “Jenny” (Posner) and is survived by first cousins William Posner, Dr. William Siegel, and Bernice Crean, and her close friends Kim and Karen Jablonski. Lee graduated from Camden High School in New Jersey and attended Temple University at a time when few women went to college. She worked until her retirement for the Internal Revenue Service in its Philadelphia service center and resided, until recently, in her home in Northeast Philadelphia.
Lee was an enthusiastic sports fan who loved listening to or watching her beloved Flyers, Phillies, and Eagles. She was also an avid reader and movie watcher. She amassed an amazing collection of movie DVD’s which she enjoyed watching again and again. She was also a proud advocate for animals, having owned several dogs and a nervous cat she named “Sweetie”.
A celebration of life service for Lee will be held at the home of her cousin Bill Posner on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pennsylvania SPCA or any other humane society of your choice.
