KUHN
LAWRENCE "LARRY"
July 16, 2018 at his home in Bala Cynwyd, PA. Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara Shoulson; his children, Laney Kuhn (Brian Goodstadt) and Leith Kuhn (Anne Samuel); his step-children, Thea Shoulson, Michael Shoulson (Stephanie Greer), Joni Dropkin, Kurt Kindermann, Kristen D'Agostino, Kara Kennedy; and his grand-children, Sammy Kuhn, Nate Kuhn, and Merlyn Shoulson.
Larry had an insatiable curiosity, believing there was something to be learned from every situation and every person. He enjoyed family, sailing, tennis, cello, going for walks, and his work. As verbal communication grew increasingly difficult, he joined a number of string ensembles and immersed himself in woodwork and metal-work.
Larry was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 11, 1943. He grew up with his parents, Allan and Dorothy Kuhn and his brother, Steve Kuhn. He attended Columbia University in New York City where he earned a B.S., M.S, and Eng.Sc.D. in Engineering Physics. Larry did research and managed printer product technology for IBM, then managed product develop-ment for Decision Data. He founded Glen Road Systems, Inc. (GRSI), which later merged with Invata Intralogistics. Larry retired in 2016.
