March 20, 1933 – September 1, 2024

Larisa, lovingly known as "Lala", passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024, in Brooklyn, NY, at the age of 91. Born on March 20, 1933, in St. Petersburg, Russia, Larisa led a life marked by resilience, strength, and unwavering love for her family.

Larisa was born into a noble Russian family, where her parents owned numerous theaters. She carried this legacy forward, serving as the Director for the House of Journalists in Russia, a role that highlighted her leadership and commitment to the arts. Larisa was married twice; her first husband, Boris, was a renowned Russian playwright, and her second husband, Alexander, was a notable musician.

After emigrating from Russia, Larisa dedicated her life to her family in America. She was the rock of her family, known for her strong character and deep devotion. Larisa was outspoken and courageous, never hesitating to share her opinions, but her love for her family was her greatest attribute. She always put her family first, giving everything and asking for nothing in return.

While the loves of her life, her daughter Alla and husband Alexander, both tragically predeceased her, Larisa is survived by her beloved grandson, Andrew, great grandchildren Mila and Sasha and her son-in-law Vlad.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6 at 10:30am at Riverside Cemetery located at 12 Market Street, Saddle Brook NJ. Larisa’s family invites all who knew her to join in celebrating her life and honoring her memory.

Larisa will be remembered for her courage, generosity, and the unwavering love she had for her family. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society http://donate.cancer.org
