Lance Schad

Lance Noah "Lancé" Schad, 54, passed away suddenly on April 13, 2025. Born on August 12, 1970, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lance brought light and laughter to all who knew him.

Lance is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Katzer, with whom he shared a deep and joyful bond. Their time together was filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories, including those of Lance running the canteen at their summer camp. He was predeceased by his father Ronald Schad, mother Rochelle L. Schad, and sister Hillari S. Schad.

Lance lived every moment to its fullest. His energy could light up any room, and his smile was contagious. He was always there for those around him—a stand-up guy whose loyalty and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His friends meant the world to him; they were not just companions but an essential part of his life’s rhythm. A true lover of music and life’s vibrant moments, Lance had a special passion for the band Phish. He traveled far and wide to attend their shows.

Whether traveling for concerts or simply enjoying each other’s company at home, Lance and Lisa's bond was unwavering. She was his rock, and he hers. They were engaged outside of her favorite vegan restaurant, Fitz on 4th, and married mere weeks ago on March 22nd in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Lance told everyone it was the best night of his life, but everyone knew that already from the smile on his face the entire evening.

Lance loved summers at the shore and sharing great meals with friends. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him:

"If you would only stop to live

One moment at a time

You would I think, be startled by

The things that you would find."
