HERMAN
KURT, family man, Holocaust survivor, and accountant, passed away on December 13, 2014. His life was an American success story, rooted in hard work, intellect, sports, charity and most importantly an unshakable love of family. Married to Rosalyn (Landesberg) for 62 years, he is survived by his beloved family; his children Gayle and Ben Sorkin, Elise and Bruce Baylson, Shari and Gary Glauser; grandchildren Michele and Charles Socki, Stephanie and Jeffrey Marblestone, Jillian and Seth Lieberman, Jennifer and Shane Gross, Rachel and Alexandra Baylson, Jeffrey and Gregory Glauser; and great grandchildren Asher and Cameron. As an Accountant and Chief Financial Officer, his business career included both the profit and nonprofit sectors. After retiring, Mr. Herman joined the Holocaust Awareness Museum. As a spokes-man, he told his story to thousands of people. It was an unforgettable story of survival and success. He would always say that he believed himself to be "One Lucky Guy".
