KENNETH J. KAUFMAN, of Dresher, Pa., and Miromar Lakes, Fla., husband, father, grandfather, businessman and golfing enthusiast, died unexpectedly at his Florida home on April 25, 2025. He was 75 years old. Beloved husband of Becky (nee Lipschitz); Loving father of Eric Scott (Michelle Mull), Adam Bryan (Alison Infield) and Melissa Kara (Benjamin Hord); Devoted grandfather of Jared, Lauren, Joelle and Brittany. A long-time entrepreneur in the clothing business, Ken worked for his first few years out of college as an accountant before joining his father at Dick Kaufman, Inc., in Philadelphia. He was a principal wholesaler of Anvil apparel followed by Champion sports apparel, and he operated Showcase stores at the Neshaminy and Echelon malls. He retired at age 67. Ken grew up in Glenside, the son of Dick and Bess Kaufman. He graduated from Cheltenham High School, Class of 1967, and majored in accounting at Monmouth University, from which he graduated in 1971. Ken and his wife, Becky, were married for 52 years, living in South Jersey and Bensalem before ultimately settling in Huntingdon Valley, where they raised three children, sending them all to college and then into teaching, medicine and law. After his retirement, he and Becky established residency in Florida while opening a new Philadelphia area home. Next to his family and friends, Ken may have loved golf best, especially being out there with his friends. He played every day he could, whether in Florida or the Philadelphia area. He was active at Miromar Lakes in Florida as well as locally at North Hills Country Club and, previously, at the Philmont Country Club. He and his family are huge Philadelphia Eagles fans and have had season tickets for many years. The games gave him many, many happy afternoons and evenings with his children at the Vet and then at the Linc. Ken loved being a grandfather, and he regularly said that one of the greatest nights of his life was Jared's Bar Mitzvah, where he got to celebrate and dance all night surrounded by his loving family.
