KAREN BLYNN

Karen A.Blynn on April 6, 2022.
Beloved wife of 36 years to Robert Johnston and mother to Jacob Johnston. She was the daughter of Cynthia Blynn (Bakan) and the late Marvin Blynn. Sister to Ian Blynn and the late Ethan Blynn (Terry). She delighted in her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Karen graduated from Penn State University and after working for VISTA and ACTION she returned to school and obtained her Master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University where she met her husband. Upon receiving her Master's degree she was selected as a Presidential Management Intern and began working at NASA where she spent 30 years as a manager.

Upon retirement Karen devoted herself full time to her artistic endeavors as a potter and was an Artist in Residence at the Sandy Spring Museum in Sandy Spring, MD. Karen enriched the lives of everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.
