Karen Helene Beck, 83, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2024, at Delray Medical Center, with her family by her side.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Karen was the beloved daughter of the late Isadore Jack and Sally Lieberman. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Lovenworth. Karen is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Benjamin Beck, and her cherished dog, Mr. Boots.
Karen devoted 28 years to the Naval Air Base, where she retired as a GS-12 Printing Specialist. In 1998, Karen survived a brain aneurysm, a testament to her resilience and strength. In 2001, she and Benjamin Left their Churchville home of 25 years and relocated to South Florida, where they embraced retired life, creating a vibrant circle of friends and countless cherished memories.
Karen had a zest for life and a competitive spirit, especially when it came to her favorite pastime, Gin Rummy—winning was always her goal, and losing was never taken lightly! She delighted in dining out and enjoyed her signature Kamikazes. Karen was known for her impeccable style and took immense pride in her appearance, from her perfectly styled hair and manicured nails to her dazzling jewelry and elegant outfits.
Karen’s warmth, humor, and vibrant personality left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She was a woman who lived life to the fullest and touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Karen leaves behind her daughter and best friend, Jodi Fermier, and Jodi’s husband, David; her stepson, Robert Beck, and his wife, Gail. Karen was a proud and loving grandmother to Brittney Turner (husband Matthew), Taylor O'Brien (husband Christopher), and Mason Beck, and a doting great-grandmother to Sadie Turner. She is also survived by her sister, Sheila Bachrach, and Sheila’s husband, Mitchell, along with her nephews, Lon and Robert Bachrach.
Her family and friends will forever treasure her memory, and she will be deeply missed by all.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 5th at Roosevelt Memorial Park Mausoleum, 2701 Old Lincoln Highway, Trevose, PA 19053.
