Jules Snyder

Jules Snyder passed away on April 18, 2023. Jules Snyder was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a beloved friend to many. He was married to Carolyn (nee Polsky) from November 15, 1958, until her death on March 12, 2018. He is survived by his two children, Steven and Andrea, a son-in-law, Rick, and grandson, Adam.

Jules and Carolyn spent their honeymoon in Miami Beach and Havana Cuba. While in Cuba, staying at the Hilton Havana, they heard rebel gunfire in the hills during the evening hours, and they were told by their tour guide to stay inside the hotel after dark. That was in November 1958. (As we know, Fidel Castro and the rebels finally ousted Batista on January 1, 1959).

Jules had kept in touch with several of his male high school friends, and the men and their wives formed a “Friends Club” that would meet regularly for decades after they all graduated high school and college.

Jules was a C.P.A. and an Executive Comptroller for several large retail companies, such as Rockower Brothers, Today’s Man, I. Goldberg, and Forman Mills.

In addition, Jules was a Scoutmaster for Boy Scouts Troop 653. Jules was a mentor to several of the young boys, who grew up to become great men.

Jules was loved and cherished by many friends, family, and business associates throughout his life.

We will miss you dad and grandpop,
Steven, Andrea, Rick, and Adam.
