Starts at 1:30 pm (Eastern time)
Judith Shectman (nee Blank), 76, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 14, 2026. Devoted wife of the late Jay Shectman. Judy is survived by her daughters, Caryn (Larry) Lieberson and Pam (Brandon) Rabinowitz and her loving partner, John Camburn. She was also the cherished Mom-Mom of Joey, Drew, Hailey and Ethan.
Judy was born in Boston, MA, growing up in Brookline with her parents, Henry and Betty Blank, and her older brothers, Gary (Carole) and Marty (Helen). In her teenage years they moved to Philadelphia, where she graduated from Girls High. She spent a long, satisfying career as a Radiologic Technologist in mammography, helping many women navigate some of life’s most uncertain moments by combining technical excellence with a warm and compassionate presence.
Judy was a dedicated friend and enjoyed socializing while playing Mahjong and participating in her bowling league. She was a lover of theatre and took many trips to NYC with her daughters and granddaughters. Her renowned matzo ball soup and holiday brisket were centerpieces of Rosh Hashanah and Passover gatherings, traditions she sustained for decades with care and love.
