Judy was born in Bayonne, NJ September 22, 1939. She graduated from Trenton State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education and went on to complete her Masters of Education/Administration. Judy was an Art Teacher and Art Coordinator for the Pennsbury School District overseeing 21 art teachers. She retired in 2002. Afterwards, she was an active member of The Artists of Yardley where she often displayed her works. Judy was one of the original members of Kol Emet Synagogue.
She was the beloved wife of Harold Kaufman (D) for 46 years. Mother of Alane (Gary) Lakritz, Lorie (Mark) Murray, Beth (Pete) Brody. Grandmother of Jessica, Sarah, Jacob and Nolan. Sister of Phyllis Katz and Rhoda Bearman (D).
Cherished memories were made in Ocean City NJ where the family would gather together. Enjoying her passion for dance, she found love again on the dance floor and spent 5 precious years with Fred Genthe before moving to FL to live with Lorie and Mark.
