Judith Stringer Dissin, lovingly known as Judy, was born on July 4, 1950, in Newark, New Jersey, and peacefully passed away on October 24, 2025, in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. First diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2017, Judy overcame it with courage and determination. Even through her recent battle with uterine sarcoma, she showed unwavering bravery and strength. A devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, Judy lived a life defined by kindness, love, perseverance, and a passion for education.
A proud Beaver College alumna, Judy devoted 35 years to teaching in the Colonial School District, inspiring countless students with her nurturing spirit and encouragement. She cherished staying connected with former students, taking joy in their successes and the lasting impact of her guidance.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Myron; her son, Garrett; her stepdaughters, Marla and Joanna; and her granddaughter, Aubrey, who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.
Surrounded by family and friends in her final days, Judy’s life was celebrated with warmth, laughter, and heartfelt memories. Her spirit, generosity, and dedication will continue to shine in the lives she touched, leaving a legacy that echoes through generations.
